older school children will be available
for seasonal farm work or other war-
time emergencies this summer, ac
cording to a check made during the
last few weeks under direction of the
United States Employment service.
Of the 63.173 pupils who filled out
the questionnaire distributed through
out the state, only 14,188 indicated
they would not be available. Of these
I 6,089 were girls and 8,099 boys.
Occupational classification was not

ses. Of the 27,172 registered from
senior high schools and 4.472 from
colleges, 6,023 were skilled or semi-
skilled workers. Of these, 1,713 were
able to drive trucks or tractors. Oth
er occupational divisions showed

and 2,455 miscellaneous.
