Bg Mrs. Bob Woodward
The North Columbia Telephone
company held its annual election of
officers last Thursday evening at a
meeting at the Charles Keller home.
The organization for the coming year
will be managed by the women, as
they carried the election. Mrs. Duff
Knight was elected president, Mrs.
Mabel Weeks, vice president, Mrs. H
G. McCulley, secretary, Mrs. John

line trouble the past year, the women
start out with the slogan, “Keep’em
ringing”.
Duane Lathrop returned from
another trip to The Dalles the first
of the week where Mrs. Lathrop is
still in a critical condition. The doc

the week, as she has been failing
rapidly the last few days.
Word comes from Mrs. August
Lindner in Portland that her health
does not improve much and it is not
known when she will be able to re
turn home.
Virgil Wilkes spent several days
