MEETS TUESDAY
A regular meeting of the Hermis­
ton Parent-Teachers association will
be held Tuesday, November 26, at the
high school. The meeting night fell
on November 21, Franklin Roosevelt’s
new Thanksgiving day, so the change
of date was made to November 26.

"Interest in the convention is
keen," says Mac Hoke of Pendleton,
President of the state association,
who goes on to add that the south­

Two officials of the American ;
Farm Bureau Federation, returning
from the Hood River state conven­
tion, were guests of the Project Farm
Bureau Friday evening. Visitors
were W. R. Ogg, legislative represen­
tative, Washington, D. C., and Mrs.
Charles W. Sewell, administrative di­
rector of the Associated Women of
the organization. They were accom-1
panted here by Mac Hoke, Pendleton,1
state president, and William Kupers,
Helix, vice president of the Farm j
Bureau.
Following a potluck dinner in the
club house served by women of the
auxiliary, the guests spoke on work :
of the Bureau throughout 40 states
in which the organization operates.
Mr. Ogg spoke of the work of the
Bureau and its various ramifications
with a view of unity between all
branches of agriculture and a 100
per cent parity with labor and indus­
try.
