pense of this office has DOUBLED since the
death of our former Sheriff Till Taylor. He
never had more than three regular Deputies.
Today the Sheriff has nine regular Deputies,
three automobiles and six State Police all paid
by the tax payers. Notwithstanding the fact
that the population of our County has only in
creased 37 people in 20 years. If elected, I will
have the unqualified cooperation of the State
Police. I will dispense with one automobile and
reduce to a minimum all other unnecessary ex
pense without doing violence to the efficiency
of the office. If elected I can and will save sev
eral thousand dollars annually to the taxpayers
