Mr. and Mrs. Gus Frosolous, who
were married recently, were pleasant­
ly surprised September 17 when the
railroad men and their families hon­
ored them with a party and present­
ed them an occasional table and a
very lovely Addeline electric lamp.
Cake and ice cream were served to
about 32 guests.
Mrs. W. O. Miller, who was taken
quite ill the first of last week, was
taken to the Pendleton hospital.

last Wednesday in Freewater.
Edward Elliott played host to the
students of his room to the movies,
"‘That’s Right, You’re Wrong,” Wed­
nesday evening.
Leland Smith and Harry Hull
spent last Tuesday in Pendleton.
Mrs. Alec Rau returned the mid­
dle of the week from Portland where
she was called by the illness of her
mother.
Mrs. T. L. Kinney of Turpin, Ok­
lahoma, who has been visiting her
son and family, Mr. and Mrs. John
Kinney, was called home Thursday
by the sudden illness of her husband.
John Kinney accompanied her. Mrs.
Kinney and Bertha Cherry took them
to Pendleton where they caught the
train for the east.
Naomi Brownell left Sunday for
Portland where she will attend the
Northwestern Beauty school. Miss
Brownell has been making her home
with her sister, Mrs. Ervin Chapman
for the last two and a half years,
and has been working at the Bunella
Beauty Shoppe.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Morgan and
daughter Jo Ann of Salem left Fri­
day for their home after visiting a
week with her sister and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Spencer, and her
father, Joe Reeves and son in Her­
miston, and Mr. Morgan’s brother
and wife.

Anderson Visits Exposition
S. A. Anderson, local tinsmith, re­
turned this week from a trip into
California where he visited the ex­
position at San Francisco and also in
Fresno. Most of the trip was made
by train. J^r. Anderson formerly
lived in San Francisco, where he was
residing at the time of the earth­
quake many years ago.
