Mr. and Mrs. Roy Peterson and
two daughters Doris and Danda of
Sault St. Marie, Michigan, were
week end house guests of Mr. and
Mrs. J. A. Clarke. The two families
were friends when the Clarkes lived
in Michigan. Mr. Peterson is an
employe of the Canadian Pacific rail­
way and the family is on a six
weeks’ vacation trip which takes
them into Canada, across the north­
ern route to Oregon and then to Cal­
ifornia and Mexico.
KILKENNY-MONAHAN WEDDING
SOLEMNIZED HERE SATURDAY
Miss Camille Kilkenny, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kilkenny of
Echo, became the bride of Mr. James
Monahan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Monahan of Heppner, at a ceremony
solemnized Saturday morning, Jan-
uary 5, at Our Lady of the Angel
church here. The ceremony was read
by Rev. Father Vincent Kerwick.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father John Kilkenny. The
wedding march was played by Mrs.
Richard C. Lawrence, and the
groom's sister, Mrs. Paul Hisler and
the Misses Mary and Patricia Mona-
han sang.
The bride was charming in a
green tailored suit with grey fox
trim, and brown accessories, on
which she wore a corsage of gar-
denias.
Miss Peggy Kilkenny, sister of the
bride, acted as bridesmaid. She wore
a grey tailored suit with a corsage
of talisman rosebuds. W. P. Kilken­
ny acted as best man.
After a short honeymoon spent in
Portland and Seattle, the young
couple will make their home in Hep­
pner where Mr. Monahan is engaged
