for naught the marriage contract

west of Hermiston on the Butter
Creek highway, the following do- ■
scribed animals:
1 Black mare saddle horse, weighs
about 1000 lbs., white spot in
forehead and saddle marks.
1 long sorrell yearling, blase face
and 3 white feet.
2 bay yearlings, white spots in
forehead, no brands visable.
Said animals will be sold, unless
redeemed, at public auction to the
highest bidder for cash in hand on
the 23rd day of November, 1935, at
the above described ranch at 1:30
o’clock P. M.

Mrs. J. Swearingen, who has been
visiting her mother at Wallowa, re­
turned Thursday.
Mrs. Harris from Portland is vi­
siting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Chester Wilson brought a load of
potatoes over from Yakima. Wn„
Tuesday.
Joe Reeves, rural mail carrier,
was off duty several days last week.
H. C. Warner is busy these days
taking the school census.
Joe Byers left for his home in
Washington Tuesday.
Eugene Lamoreaux, who has been
working near Yakima, returned
home Monday.
George Hendrix, who has been
away for some time, came home

The high school students of Irri­
gon were guests at a Hallowe’en
party at Boardman Friday night,
given by the Boardman students. A
very pleasant evening was spent.
Mr. and Mrs. George Kendler, Sr.,
and Geo. Kendler, Jr., were guests
of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Isom Wednes­
day evening.
Mrs. Nettle Flower visited her
cousin W. C. Isom and family the
past week. They motored to Pen­
dleton on a business trip Tuesday.
John Voile motored to Heppner
Saturday. Mrs. Flower accompanied
him to her home.
According to reports in this vici­
nity, six above zero was the coldest
temperature registered the past
week. However, people were not ex­
pecting the early freeze and consi­
derable damage was done to potatoes
and squash.
Mrs. Chas. Steward and Mrs. H.
C. Warner entertained their Sunday
School classes at a party at Mrs.
Steward’s home Saturday.
The little Somo baby was reported’
as very ill Friday.
Mr. Bishop was ill at his home
last Sunday.
Ollie Coryell was a Heppner visi­
tor one day last week.
