Pioneer Resident Passes.
Elizabeth Adams Pike, who died
at the home of her son. Ekha Pike
of Loveland, Iowa, May 2, 1933, was
born in Missouri on
March
19,
1846. She was married to Francis
Pike January 10,1867. They came
west to Wallowa, Ore., in 1886, and
after living there for 18 years they
came to Umatilla in the fall of
1805. They bought and lived on the
present Walt Caldwell ranch for
several years and then bought the
place on which Lloyd Miller and
family now reside. In 1929 they
went to Loveland, Iowa, where they
have made their home with their
son.
She is survived by her husband,
F. M. Pike, and five children. Perry
Pike of Umatilla, Mrs. Cora' McCrae
of Wallowa, Ore., Elisha Pike and
Mrs. Minta Skinner, both of Love­
land, Neb., twenty-six grandchild­
ren and 40 great-grandchildren.
