to be out rustling news.
If we don’t print contributions,

filled with "junk.”

The Ione boys and girls basketball
team from the high school played

home floor. The Irrigon boys won
their game with a score of 16 to 13.
The girls’ score was 15 to 16 in
Ione’s favor. A large crowd attend
ed the game.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leicht gave
a banquet to the four basketball
teams immediately after the game
in the school dining room. Delicious
refreshments were served and the
boys and girls extend a vote of
thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Leicht for
their hospitality.
Mrs. W. C. Isom was on the sick
list all of last week with intestinal
flu.
The Irrigon Grange held their re
gular meeting with a splendid crowd
in attendance.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Minnick were
initiated into the order. The degree
team performed their work very
creditably. Various business projects
were discussed during the evening
and one or two good resolutions
were adopted.
Refreshments were
served to all at the close of the
evening. Music and dancing was in
order after lunch for a short time.
The next meeting will be held Feb.
11, when a play will be one of the
features of the lecture hour which
is always open to the public. Every
one is cordially invited to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Grider will be
given the degree work at the next
meeting.
