WASHINGTON’S BIRTHDAY
SUGGESTIONS
To apply George Washington's
principals In our dally lives, we shall
find It necessary to Imitate the fol
lowing among many traits of his
lofty character:
1. Do our dally woyk with the
utmost fidelity. Washington's thor
oughness In every detail was a lead
ing reason for his great success.
2. Cultivate enthusiasm.
Wash
ington was a wonderful leader of
men, and It was his gift for inspir
ing bis soldiers and countrymen
with the enthusiasm for the patriot
ic cause that won success.
3. Rise above discouragements.
No situation ever so bad could baf
fle the Immortal father of his
country. He saw In the darkest of
hours the promise of dawn. People
with such traits cannot be beaten
down. When we cultivate these
characteristics In th service of our
country and home community, we
fpllow some distance along the path
of the principal creator of our gov
ernment.
