The annual meeting of the Uma­
tilla Rapids association will be held
in Pendleton at lo a. m., October
27, according to notices mailed by
Geo. C. Baer, executive secretary.
Officers will be elected at the
meeting, and plans for the associa­
tion’s work in 1928 will be formulat­
ed. The hearing on the McNary-Sin-
nott bill to provide for building the
dam will be held by the senate dur­
ing the second week In January.
It is expected that Hermiston will
have a delegation at the meeting.
