delightful dinner last Sunday

Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Parsons
of this city celebrated forty-
eight years of married life last
Saturday. Sons and daughters
of the couple were present to ex­

J. H. Hammon, who farms the
Raley ranch, is plowing and prepar­
ing a large acreage for re-seed:ng.
The ranch is one of the oldest and
best on the project.
Two cases of chicken pox is re­
ported in the Minnehaha district
June and Neva Richards are confined
to their home with an attack.
Mr. Griner of Toppenish, Wash., a
former Butter creek resident, was a
visitor in the Minnehaha neighbor­
hood this week. He made a trip to
Pendleton with 200 turkeys which he
disposed o f on the Pendleton mar­
ket. Mr. Griner was accompanied
by his stepson, Burton Wilson.

cent after a severe attack of asthma.
Theo. Parks, who for some time
past has been proprietor of a feed
store in Umatilla and who is well
known to the resi^lenlq of this city,
has moved his family to Pendleton
where they will reside.
The Neighborhood club will meet
at the home of Mrs. R. C. Canfield
on Wednesday, Feb. 25. A good
program is being prepared for the
occasion.
J. R. Johnson of Boardman
was a business visitor here last
Monday.
