Paternoster Row.
Paternoster row is a street in Lon
don, near St. Paul’s cathedral. Early
In the last century It was the seat of
the great publishing houses; but. In
later years, these moved away to the
neighborhood of the Strand and Pic
cadilly and left the “Row” to the book
sellers of the metropolis. The origin
of the name la variously accounted
for. According to some, the street
was so called from the rosary, or
