T he tresses o f a pharaoh’s daughter
were dressed w ith combs o f wood, says
Prof. S. J. Record o f Yale u n iversity,
who recently made a study o f the d if­
fe re n t kin d s o f woods used by th p un­
d e n t Egyptians. These combs wore
ninde o f boxwood, w hich whs nmeh
weed fo r cn rvlng by the e a rly Egyp-
tlans, and they were not g re a llj tils
s im ila r to some o f the combs which
adorn th e women o f the T w en tie th
