Editor Hermiston Herald:
Dear Sir:—
Could you find a corner In your
paper for this poem?
I write it merely for the furthering
of our league. I want it to help others
as it has helped me. I sincerely hope
you will do this although this Is my
first poem and I know It is not very
good.
Yours truly,
A H. S. Student.
A Call to the Epworth League
We’re a bunch of boosters, loyal and
true.
And anything we start we always
put thru.
Now we’re behind our league with all
our might.
So you can be certain it’ll come out
alright.
•
We’ve the south room all snug and
warm.
Which protects us from the outside
storm.
We’ve also an organ In our midst,
And some mighty fine young folks
on our list.
So come out to league. Please do.
You need the league, and the league
needs you.
Out of each week can’t you spare an
hour or two
