The high school boys met Stanfield
in the hardest fought game of the
season on the local field last Thurs­
day. It was a close game throughout,
the score being two to nothing until
the last half of the fifth Inning. Dur­
ing this Inning Fraser and Addleman
each made one score making it a tie,
then In the last half of the sixth
Gerald Campbell succeeded In making
another score. The final score was
three to two in favor of Hermiston.
Stanfield was unable to score after
the second inning. "Shorty" Long­
horn pitched for Hermiston and he
had very g<x>d reasons for being a
bit “puffed up" the next few days as
he did very good work.
The boys will play Umatilla at
Umatilla next Friday, April 21.
