senior class received a telegram from
R epresentative N. J. Sinnot acq u ain t­
ing him w ith the fact th a t he has
been appointed to A nnapolis and
co n g ratu latin g him for the honors
he received in th e exam inations. Be­
ing a very modest young m an he
said n o th in g about his efforts in
th is line so It was a surprise to his
schoolmates. W e all wish him the
best of luck and expect he w ill be an
A dm iral in the future.

The contest for the sale of Red
Cross Seals was begun Monday by the
high school. E rnest Addleman and
Nornian R ubner were elected cap­
tain s of the two team s a t a high
school student body m eeting held
Monday afternoon. I t was decided
ih a t th e losing side should en tertain
the w in n ln g « id e so everybody is busy
selling stam ps.

p ital of Spokane gave a short talk
before the high school Tuesday m orn­
ing, em phasizing the im portance of

voted for perm ant roads in D istrict
No. 2, Morrow county.

organization w ith incorporation be
effected and plans made for imm edi­
ate p lo ttin g of the grounds for use

Miss C lara Bunge, county health
nurse who recently began work in
Morrow county arrived in Boardm an
on T hursday (following an inspec­
tion of th e health conditions a t Pine
City and Irrigon. Miss Bunge met
w ith a com m ittee of the P. T. A. and
arran g ed a public h ealth m eeting for
December Jl 5. addressed the general
school assembly, and each room on
h ea lth m a tte rs and gave Individual
exam inations to about one th ird of
th e pupils. The rem ainder w ill be
exam ined later.
