Citv Irrigation Water Assessment for
1921.
District No. 1
Notice is hereby given that in ac-
cordance Twith ordinance No. 76 as-
sessment has been levied by the City
Council upon the following lots and
parcels of land In the Irrigation Dis-
triet established by said ordinance
for the purpose of collecting a special
improvement assessment to pay the
cost of water for irrigation for the
NW1, of the SW 1 of Section 11 and
the NEU of the SET of section 10
both In Township 4 N. R. 28 EWM.
and Block B of the First Addition to
Hermiston and Lot 2 of îlock C of
the First Addition to Hermiston and
Lots 5. 7. and 10 In Block "E of the
Second Addition to Hermiston and
lots 6. 7. 1, 9. and 10 in Block "F of
the Second Addition to Hermiston
and Block “G” and Block ■H" of
said Second Addition to Hermiston.
the land embraced in the Irrigation
asgessmen t district provided for In
said ordinance No. 76 and construct-
ing and maintaining an irrigation
system therefor.
The total amount of the assess-
ment In said Irrigation District is
»1695.00, for maintenance and oper-
at ion.
The contract price to be paid to
the United States government for
water for irrigation In said district
is $1.50 per acre for two acre feet
and 50c per acre foot for all water in
excess of two acre feet.
This assessment is now due and
payable at the office of the City Re-
corder and if not paid by May 6, 1921
the same shall become delinquent and
shall bea r interest from said date
at the legal rate.
The amount of the assessment ap
portioned and assessed against par-
tlcular lots and parcels of land is as

The total amount of the assess-
ment in said Irrigation District Is

The contract price to be paid for
government water and 0. and M.
charges is »201.82.
The estimated Operation and Main-
tenance charge in said District for
1921 Is »302. 01.
This assessment Is now due and
payable at the Office of the City Re-
corder and if not paid by May 6, 1921
the same shall become delinquent
and shall bear interest from said date
at the legal rate.
The amount of the assessment ap-

season; but where water-right appli­
cation is made for public land enter­
ed under the reclamation law after
June 15, or where water-right appli­

made for water delivered during the
remainder of the irrigation season in
which water-right application is
made.

1. East Division—The annual op­
eration and maintenance charges foi
the irrigation season of 1921 and
thereafter until further notice,
against all lands of the East Divis­
ion, heretofore called East Side
Unit, Umatilla Project, Oregon, un­
der public notice shall be as follows:
A minimum charge of Two Dollars
and Twenty-Five Cents ($2.25) pei
irrigable acra, whether water is used
thereon or not. which minimum
charge will entitle the water user to
four acre-feet of water per Irrigable
acre: Provided, that for lands in
the so-called Sandy Area, this charge
will entitle the water user to seven
acre-feet of water per irrigable acre
Additional supplies will be furnished
for all lands at the following rates:
The first acre-foot for seventy-five
(75) cents and each acre-foot there­
after for One Dollar (ID: Provided
Further. That for lands seeded dur­
ing the current Irrigation season to
alfalfa for the first time, the addi­
tional supply of water will be fur­
nished for twenty-five (25) cents per
acre-foot.
2. West Division—The annual
operation and maintenance charges
for the Irrigation season of 1921 and
thereafter until further notice,
against all land of the West Divi­
sion, heretofore called West Exten­
sion Unit. Umatilla Project. Oregon,
under public notice shall be as fol­
lows: A minimum charge of Two
Dollars ($2) per irrigatable acre,
whether water is used thereon or not
For lands in the Boardman and Kern
Districts of the West Division (ex-
eepting lands In the Juniper Canyon
ares.) this charge will entitle the
water user to the three acre-feet of
water per irrigatable aere. For the
remaining lands in the West Divi-
sion. Including lands In the Juniper
Canyon area, this charge will entitle
the water user to four and one-half
acre-feet of water per irrigatable
acre. Additional supplies will be
furnished for all lands at the follow­
ing rates: The first acre-foot for
seventy-five (75) cents, and each
acre-foot thereafter for One Dollar
(|1) : Provided. That for lands seed­
ed during the current Irrigation sea­
son to alfalfa for the first time, the
additional supply of water will be
furnished for twenty-five (25) cents
