City Irrigation Water Assessment for
1921. District No. 1
Notice is hereby given that In ac
cordance with ordinance No. 76 as-
sessment has been levied by the City
Council upon the following lots and
parcels of land in the Irrigation Dis
trict established by said ordinance
for the purpose of collecting a special
improvement assessment to pay the
cost of water for irrigation for the
NWY of the SWU of Section 11 and
the NEY of the SE ‘ of section 10
both In Township 4 N. R. 28 EWM.
and Block B of the First Addition to
Hermiston and Lot 2 of Block C of
the First Addition to Hermiston and
Lots 6, 7. and 10 In Block “E” of the
Second Addition to Hermiston and
lots 6. 7. 8. 9. and 10 in Block “F” of
the Second Addition to Hermiston
and Block “G” and Block “H” of
said Second Addition to Hermiston,
the land embraced In the irrigation
assessment district provided for In
said ordinance No. 7 6 and construct
ing and maintaining an irrigation
system therefor.
The total amount of the assess
ment in said Irrigation District is
$1695.00, for maintenance and oper
ation.
The contract price to be paid to
the United States government for
water for irrigation in said district
is $1.50 per acre for two acre feet
and 50c per acre foot for all water in
excess of two acre feet.
This assessment is now due and
payable at the office of the City Re
corder and if not paid by May 6, 1921
the same shall become delinquent and
shall bear Interest from said date
at the legal rate.

portioned and assessed against par-
ticular lots and parcels of land is as

To Whom It May Concern:
Whereas, The trout and other fisi
inhabiting the waters of Umatill:
River, situated in Umatilla County
State of Oregon, are being threatened
with extinction from excessive angl
ing and other causes, and
Whereas, The Oregon State Game
Commission is desirous of protectin"
the trout and other fish inhabiting
the waters of said Umatilla River
situated in Umatilla County, State of
Oregon ;
Therefore, by authority of law
vested in the said Oregon State Game
Commission, notice is hereby given
that said Umatilla River, situated ir
Umatilla County, State of Oregon
beginning at a point in said Umatill:
River known as "Three Mile Falls
Diversion Dam,” and extending dowr
said Umatilla River from said Three
Mile Falls Diversion Dam for a dis
tance of three hundred (300) feet,
In said Umatilla County, State of
Oregon, is hereby closed to fishing
of any kind or in any manner, for
trout or other fish, from and after
the 1st day of May, 1921, until again
opened by the Oregon State Game
Commission.
And it is and shall be unlawful
for any person to take or fish foi
trout or other fish by any means
whatsoever in said closed part of
said Umatilla River from and after
the 1st day of May. 1921, until the
same has been reopened by order of
the Oregon State Game Commission.
Any and all persons whomsoever
so fishing in violation of this order
will be prosecuted as by statute pro
vided.
