OW many miles— with
out changing engine oil?
H
Dirt accumulates in the oil of
every engine—carbon, road dust,
fine particles of metal, and gasoline
that has escaped past the pistons.
This dirty, diluted oil circulating
through your engine canses unnec
essary wear co bearing surfaces.
Have it drained out— noto —and
fresh oil put in the crankcase.
We can do that for you conven-
iently, quickly, economically—with
Modern Crankcase Cleaning Ser
vice. We use Calol Flushing Oil,
the new, scientific flushing agent,
which cleanses thoroughly with-
out danger of contaminating the
supply of fresh oil. And to assure
correct lubrication we refill the
cleaned crankcase with Zerolene of
the correct grade.

Ray Likes Variety
Like William S. Hart, Charles Ray
dosen’t believe in appearing with the
same leading woman in all of his pic
tures. The public likes variety in the
types of feminine pulchritude playing
opposite their favorites, according to
Charlie, and he aims to please by
having a different member of the
Thomas H. Ince galaxy of feminine
players share the honors with him
ever so often. In "Crooked Straight,”

the Play House on Sat., Dec. 18th,
Margery Wilson is the girl with
whom Mr. Ray falls in love and for
whom he performs a neat job of safe-
cracking. Mis sWilson is no stranger
to Ray fans, having appeared with
him in "The Clodhopper” and "The
Mother Instinct." She was also cast
in important roles in the Ince spect-
acle, “Intolerance," and with William
S. Hart in “Wolf Lowry.” "Crooked
Straight” provides Mr. Ray with a-
nother of his inimitable rural roles
and is said to be a throughly enter
taining picture. It is a Paramont-
Artcraft, produced by Thomas H.

Native Maori Singers From New Zealand
—To keep its property in good repair and expand it to meet the requirements of the public.
At Chautauqua Festival on Last Night
—To pay wages sufficient to maintain an efficient and contented organization.
To earn a revenue that will enable it to borrow the money absolutely necessary In its operations and
to afford a reasonable profit to Its owners.
In the State of Oregon today our earnings are insufficient to accomplish these results and we have
asked the Public Service Commission of the State to approve a schedule of rates which we believe will
provide the added revenue required.
No question of stocks, bonds or Capitalization is involved.
The Commission will base its decision
upon a fair value of our property for rate making purposes and our earnings and expenses.
We believe that the public, realising the benefits of adequate telephone service, will support this
effort on our part to insure the maintenance and development of a high standard of telephone commun
ication.
