Farm women In many parts of the
country have doubled their receipts
for butter. In some instances this in­
crease in price is due to the improved
quality of the product and in others
to better marketing methods. Both the
better quality and the better selling
have been made possible by the assist­
ance given the butter makers by the
home demonstration agents. These ex­
perts in home economics, who are sent
out by the department of agriculture
and state agricultural colleges, teach
improved methods of making butter
and cheese, as well as other household
lore, to the women who live in dairy
counties. As soon as enough women
