Dunne, the nurse who had charge of the Hermiston flu hospital, is in Umatilla spending the holidays with her sister, Mrs. W. R. Nugent. The Umatilla school has reopened, after being closed several weeks on account of an epidemic of fuel short­ age. All children were in attendance on the opening day. The girls of the Umatilla school , have organized a sewing club, under the supervision of Mrs. Lambert. They have elected the following offi­ cers: Ruby Powell, president; Lur- line Pryor, vice president; Gladys Nugent, secretary.
