Was Home on a Visit
Ross Laudenslauger, who is now
field engineer on the nine miles of
the John Day highway that bran­
ches from the Columbia highway at
Arlington and runs to Fossil, visited
at the home of his mother in this
city several days this week.* He will
be here again today In order to help
pack the furniture in the house they
live in on the West Side, in order to
give possession to Mr. and Mrs. E.
D. Parrish, who recently bought the
place. It Is "understood Mrs. Lau-
denslager will occupy the cottage
across the street west of the recla­
mation service building that ts now
owned by Mrs. M. A. Brown, as soon
as it is vacated by W. G. Phelps,
resident state highway engineer,
who will soon conclude his work
here and be transferred.
