SPECIAL
CORRESPONDENCE A
The Flu is better on the Creek.
Mrs. Hammond and baby were taken
to the hospital at Hermiston on Sun
day. also Pete Walt, who had been
getting better until that day when
; his fever came up. There has been
no new cases so we think that as
soon as this degree of it is over
there will have to be a new exposure
before we will worry any more.
John Ware has recleved his dis-
| charge from the navy and is now at
I his home on the Creek trying to get
used to the farm again.
Mrs. Charley Shaw's daughter
Minnie and baby are on a visit to the
Creek from The Dalles, having pass
ed successfully through the Flu sick-
| ness with no bad results.
Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Nation motored
to Pendleton Sunday evening, taking
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Canfield with
them. They report the roads are
the best ever.
Marion Marks has returned from
his visit to his folks in Idaho and
says that the flu is at its worst there
and that he had it and only lost
about 25 or 50 pounds. But he does
not know if that was from the flu or
from forgetting to bring home a
wife.
