T ru ly ” , accom panied a t th e piano
by Mias Sigrid Aim. To th e stra in s
of th e b rid al ch o ru s from Lohen­
grin, also played by Miss Aim, th e
bride descended th e sta irs and en ­
tered th e room on th e arm of her
father. She was preceded by her
bridesm aids, Miss Audrey Johnson
and Miss E dith S oderquist. A lbert
Quay attended the groom as best
man.
The bride w as b eau tifu l in a
d ress of w hite satin , m ade very
sim ply w ith a drape. She w ore a
full length veil of tu lle held in
place by a bandeau of rhinestones.
Her bouquet was O phelia ro ses and
chrysanthem um s.
Miss Johnson
w ore a gown of g reen flat crepe
and Miss S oderquist one of pink
flat crepe. Each bridesm aid c a r ­
ried a bouquet of ro ses and aStersi

mony took place w as beautifully
decorated, as w as also th e dining
room w here th e guests w ere seated.
Candles w ere b u rn in g on th e m an ­
tel over th e fireplace, castin g a
mellow glow over th e en tire room.
The fireplace itself w as hidden by
an im m ense vine of W andering
Jew.
D ahlias w ere used ex ten s­
ively in th e decoration of th e two
room s, as w ere also crepe paper
stream ers of p ink and green. De­
licious refresh m en ts followed the
co n g ratu latio n s.
The bride, who w as a g rad u a te of
th e 1926 class of G resham Union
high school, is p o p u lar in a wide
circle of friends. Mr. and Mrs. S a t­
te rstro m have secured ap a rtm en ts
in P o rtlan d , and th e fo rm er is em ­
ployed by th e W est Oregon L um ­
ber com pany at L innton. T he cou­
ple received m any b eautiful and
useful gifts.

held a t the schoolhouse last F riday

ed for th e H allow een p arty which
w ill be given on th e evening of Oc­
tober 28. T he p arty Is to be held
at th e schoolhouse and in addition
to a m usical program Samuel H.
P ierce of P o rtlan d w ill give a talk
on
"P a rlia m e n ta ry
Law ”. Mr.
P ierce has suggested th a t if anyone
has a question to ask on th is su b ­
ject it be considered at th is tim e.
R efreshm ents w ill be served d u r­
ing th e social hour. P lan s w ere
also m ade for an evening of vaude­
ville to be given u n d er the auspices
of th e P.-T. A at g ran g e hall S a tu r­
day evening, November 5.

th en sh o rt speeches of co n g ra tu la­
tion by th e v isitin g gran g e m asters.

H aines again scored a h it w ith th eir
com m endable ren d itio n of a tw o-act
com edy en titled "A P erp lex in g S it­
u atio n .” Follow ing th e play th e
g u ests w ere invited to enjoy a so­
cial h o u r of dancing.
On W ednesday evening, October
26, th e L ad ies’ Aid of th e M. E.
Church w ill give a silver tea a t th e
church. A m otion p ictu re program
has been arran g ed consisting of a
sh o rt comedy d ram a and a comedy.
In addition to th is th ere w ill be

hour and refresh m en ts. All are
