tu r e of the evening was th e m u­
sic which w as rendered by a
q u a rte t from th e Zella Payson
Koegel studios.
The annual picnic of Rockwood
school has been postponed until
som etim e during the first m onth of
th e fall term . T his was done be­
cause of the num erous other a c ­
tivities in the com m unity at this
time.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Meade, Alvin
Jr., and L enore of Salem visited
Mr. and Mrs. H. Lamb and fam ily
la st Friday. They are on th e ir way
to New York, Mr. Meade's old home
and will stop a t Dayton. Ohio, to
visit relativ es of Mrs. Meade. Mrs.
Meade and Mrs. Lamb were friends.
In Dayton m any years ago.
T he picnic which was to be given
for all th e boys and g irls in club
w ork was postponed by Mr. K inder
on account of unfavorable w eather.
Rock'vood people, not know ing of
the postponem ent, w aited until a f­
te r 10 o'clock and then decided to
have a picnic all th e ir own. They
w ere chaperoned by th eir m others
and a very good tim e was reported.
“The “ Peppy C ookers" club held
a m eeting to elect th e ir delegate to
O. A. C. sum m er school. Miss Ver-
della Lamb, se creta ry of th e club,
w as elected to go. Mrs. Pate, lead­
er of the club, is proud of the work
done th is year by the girls.
The play given by th e Rockwood
D ram atic club last F riday evening
was proof that ta le n t dw ells in this
com m unity.
Such a production
could never have been put before
an audience w ere It not for ta len t
well cast and then work and co­
operation. To choose one m em ber
of the cast as a sta r would be Im­
possible so w ell did they all do.
Rockwood Is looking forw ard to
