th a t they found a u to ists exceedingly
generous in th a t resp ect, w ith th e r e ­
su lt th a t they m ade th e ro u n d trip
including some side trip s in two weeks
tim e. T he longest rid e given them
w as 300 miles. Miss L ake will teach
next year In th e “o p p o rtu n ity ” class
of P a rish ju n io r high school a t Salem.

Stafford team S unday aftern o o n on the
G illis grounds in a double header, de­
feating th e Stafford nine in both gam es
w ith the score of the first stan d in g 12
to 6 and of th e second at 11 to 3.
Next Sunday th e G illis boys w ill play
Oswego a t G illis, th e gam e to be called
at 2:30. The G illis team is a m em ber
of th e In ter-city league and since en ­
te rin g th e league has won th re e out
of th e five gam es played.
