the re su lt of a cu t hand w hich in ju ry
he sustained last week w hile engaged
in sp littin g kindling. He stru c k the
left forefinger with the axe about an
inch below the knuckle on th e back of
the hand, severing the cords. The in
ju ry , w hile not serious, Is painful and
it ta k es considerable tim e for th e te n
dons to knit.
