T he paving w ith W a rren ite on the
F airview road h as been com pleted
from th e Base L ine road to the brow
of th e hill, and from th e foot of the
h ill to th e Sandy road. T he steep
hill ro ad w hich has been h ard to ne­
g o tiate fo r loaded c a rs h as * been
graded down and w ill be paved w ith
concrete, form s for w hich a re now
being built. It is expected th a t the
road w ill be open for traffic w ithin
a m onth.
P aving on th e Pow ell V al'ey road
east from R oberts avenue is p ro g re ss­
ing rap id ly dnd is com pleted to th e
bridge a t th e W rig h t place. A fill
has been m ade a t th is place w hich
is now being covered w ith cru sh ed
rock. It is understood th a t th e pav­
ing w ill end a few hundred feet from
th e ea st end of th e fill a t th e raid ro ad
rig h t of way. E v en tu ally th e new
ro adw ay of th e Mt. Hood loop w ill be
b u i't along the railro a d trac k , elim in ­
atin g grad e crossings.
