Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the south China
refo rm er and leader, died a t Pekin

in stru m e n ta l in b ringing about the
overthrow of th e M anchu dynasty In
1911. He form ed the "Young C h in a”
p a rty and organized a peaceful rev o lu ­
tion. He w as for a tim e provisional
presid en t of the C hinese republic. H i
w as about 63 y ears old.

T uesday evening, when m uch em p h a­
sis was placed on child w elfare. An

It w as voted by the associatio n to
su p p o rt th e plan of fu rn ish in g hot
lunches next y ear to th e school ch il­
dren and a com m ittee was appointed
to draw up p lans to he discussed at
th e next m eeting.
School is p rogressing w onderfully
w ell under th e leadership of th e p rin ­
cipal, F. M. Olem au, and his corp s of
te ach ers,

by "th e old folks of H u rlb u rt” will be
rep eated at th e high school In th e n ear
fu tu re, for th e benefit of the young
son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Emily, who
is now at the S h rln e r’s hospital u n ­
dergoing tre a tm e n t for Infantile p a r­
alysis.
