tific m ethods is noticeable in the
lengthening of the average span of
life during a generation by ten to fif­
teen years. P erh ap s by the tim e those
of us now in m iddle life reach ou r ex­
pected end people will live longer,
th a t is, those who s ta r t early In life.
But a m easure of reju v en atio n is
possible to th e "young-old" even now.
R ecently th e re called a t th e O ut­
look a m an about 60 years old who a
year ago w as a physical w reck. In
fact, a fte r considerable doctoring and
several o perations w ith no im prove
m ent he w as p rac tica lly given up as
past relief. H is friends felt so rry for
him. He w as Incapacitated for w ork
of any kind. He w ent to so u th ern
