E piscopal ch u rch , died Sunday in the
P o rtlan d M edical ho sp ital from pois­
oning re su ltin g from th e stin g of an
Insect ag g rav ated by a diabetic condi­
tion from w hich he had been suffering
for th e p ast y ear. D eath o cc u rre d on
Ju n e 15, his 55th birthday.
T he Rev. Mr. Myers w as w alk in g on
a dow ntow n s tre e t in P o rtla n d about
tw o w eeks ago and felt a sh a rp stin g
on th e back of his left hand. A sm all
red spot ap p eared w hich g rad u ally
w ifi resti
spread. F o u r days la te r th e en tire
arm w as inflam ed and he w as ta k en to
th e h o sp ital fo r tre a tm e n t. In spite
of th e best efforts of atten d in g p h y si­
cians, th e disease sp read an d resu lted
in death.
