cau se th e m ethod of assessin g the
sam e is unreasonable.

ing in G resham , O regon, on the 7th
day of D ecem ber, 1923. at 7:30 o'clock
in the aftern o o n , to vote on th e q u e s­
tion of increasin g the am ount of the
T ax Levy in said d istric t for th e year
1923 by m ore than six per cent over
th e am ount of such levy d urin g the
previous y ea rs since 1916.
It is necessary to raise th is ad d itio n ­
al am ount by special levy for th e fo l­
lowing reaso n s:
The Tax S upervising and C o n serv a­
tion Com m ission have determ ined that
our p resen t ta x req u irem en ts c a lc u ­
lated on the tax levy for 1916 are $10.-
623.57 in excess of th a t allow ed under
th e ti p e r cent tax lim itation:

to c a rry on the high school In

T he voting of th is special tax does

L ast y ear the to ta l tax w as $27.-
169.46, th e budget for thia year ca lls
for 227,760.60, an increase of $600.00,
