Mrs. Steve. M arston, who has been
assistin g in th e H. L. St. C lair home
for th e p ast tw o y ea rs as housekeep­
er, has been obliged to give up h er
w ork on account of ill health. She is
at her home near Palm blad statio n but
may go la te r to the logging cam p near
C herryville w here h er husband is em ­
ployed.
Mrs. L. A. W ack and ch ild ren have
gone to Los A ngeles, C alifornia, for
th e w in ter on acco u n t of th e ill h ealth
of her d au g h ter, Lucile.
Mr. and Mrs. H a rry P rem o and two
ch ild ren of Long Beach, C alifornia,
who have been v isitin g w ith the form ­
e r ’s sister, Mrs. J. A. G ray and w ith
o th er rela tiv e s in P o rtlan d , have r e ­
tu rn ed to th e ir home.

te r g arag e, w ill spend a w eek's vaca­
tion on an au to trip to S eattle and
V ancouver, B. C.

d ren a re atten d in g school. Mr. T a y ­
lor, who is one of th e buyers for the
F leisch n er & Mayer com pany of P o rt­
land, retu rn ed th is week from New
York w here he had been for bis firm

of 25 enjoyed a picnic d in n e r a t the
fair g ro u n d s at 1 o’clock W ednesday
and sp en t a few h o u rs sew ing. Be­
sides the women th e re w ere ten c h il­
d ren a t th e dinner, w hich w as an en­
joyable social occasion. A business
session w as also held d u rin g th e a f­
ternoon.
