When we say that this new improved Willard
Batten- is ‘‘all rubber” we mean that it is
without wood anywhere in its construction.
Wherever wood was used, rubber is used. The
enormous importance of this change is shown
by these facts:
Wood deteriorates from the action of acid.
Rubber does not. Wood when wet becomes
soft, spongy and easily destroyed. Rubber does
not. Wood is never uniform in texture. Rub
ber is. A wooden case cannot be formed with
out joints. A Rubber container can, and the
W illard rubber container is so made.
The owner of a wood-case, wood-separator
battery is constantly liable to separator and
case trouble, while in the Willard All-Rubber
Battery all such changes are eliminated! The
W illard All-Rubber Battery gives the plates
a chance to wear out slowly, in a normal way,
giving you the full mileage you pay for!
