Leheaupin was called to serve the
F rench governm ent. He was as­
signed duty at S alonika, G reece as
private secretary fo r a F ren ch com ­
m ander at th a t port. On Ju ly 12th
last, Mrs. Leheaupin left for E urope
to m e e t her husband and visit his
relatives at N antes. They arriv e d In
the United States about th ree weeks
ago.
M argaret St. C lair spent th e week
end in P o rtlan d with her b ro th e r and
sister-in-law , Mr. and Mrs. L eslie St.
Clair. She retu rn ed Sunday on the
jitney all by herself.
A piece of je rk e d venison was p re­
sented the Outlook force today, a sub
sta n tla l proof th a t h u n tin g is good in
the region n ear Roseburg. M ayor
Kenney retu rn ed last evening with
M M. Squire and Hill D ahlqulst. The
rest of the party, Mr. and Mrs. W. C.
Burch, Mr. and Mrs. E arl B urch and
W illiam Thom, w ere co n sid erin g a
few days h u n tin g n ea r E ugene, but
may arriv e hom e th is evening. The
six h u n te rs landed live d eer— a good
record for one week.
Monday being H arvey Colum bus
M etzger's birthday, A Myers declared
a bank holiday. Mr. M yers says he

dence of the discovery of A m erica

day.
