Chris Gerig, who has been visiting in Ohio for some time, returned to his home in Albany this week. He spent Sunday night at the home of his uncle, A. B. Conrad. Mark Gerig and family of Moutavilla were also visitors at the Conrad home. Mr. Gerig reports that the weather In the east is very cold and the thoughts of balmy Oregon days brought hith home sooner than was expected. It is hard to beat Oregon weather for we have the best of all sorts even a fair sized blizzard once in a long time. There is nothing monotonous about the weather here and for a January day Wednesday was hard to beat. Richard Emerson, of Portland, vis­ ited for the week-end with his niece, Mrs. Geo.
