ciety has U n d e rta k e n ," Rev. Boudl-
not Seeley said th a t m in isters of th e
church had been silen t on th is Im­
p o rtan t su b ject, and m ust m eet th e
problem in an out-spoken an d plain
m anner. Mr. Seeley said th a t the
sex question was one of the m ost im ­
p o rta n t in hum an life, and yet p rac­
tically boys and g irls e n te r life w ith­
o u t in fo rm atio n o r eq uipm ent to
avoid th«* fea rfu l evils for th e reason
p are n ts have been silen t on th e su b ­
ject. He pointed o u t th e re su lt of
ignorance, and drew a p ic tu re of th e
effects of disease resu ltin g th a t was
appaling.
"W e th o u g h t th a t the civil w ar
was te rrib le in losses in killed and
w ounded," said Rev. Seeley, "and
yet th e loss of life and suffering front
sex diseases in men, women and ch il­
d ren , are infinitely g re a te r every
