doesn’t remember meeting
her that day.
Fast forward to now,
and they are happily mar-
ried, with a home on Hep-
pner’s Cross Hill, horses,
dogs, and son Maverick,
who may be almost four or
maybe 24.
Mollie can also be

Feed and Seed as assistant
manager.
She always had a love
for history, extensively re-
searching family relative,
Columbus Adolphus “C.
A.” Rhea, who has a rich,
ingrained history with Mor-
row County.
Her love of reading
came easy and was enriched
by listening to books on
tape with her grandfather,
who was blind.
Living in South Mor-
row County, Mollie realizes
that it is the “center of the
universe.” Wherever and
whenever she visits with
people in her travels, they

tary School. The book was donated to both local libraries in
memory of their aunt, Josie Proctor, and uncle, Roy Proctor,
both voracious readers and graduates of Heppner schools.

Mollie mentioned that
the most challenging letters
to write about were “Y” and
“Z,” finally deciding on
“You” and “Zest.”
Inspiration for her sec-
ond book came quickly: E
is for Eastern Oregon. Writ-
ing took a bit longer this
time, matching the alphabet
to the huge area east of the
Cascade Mountains to Tu-
lelake. Mollie has one early
edition of E is for Eastern
Oregon, and publication
will be soon.
Growing up in Spring-
field, OR, Mollie met Trev-
or Rhea through friends
of her family’s logging
business. At a fun gather-
ing, she wasn’t impressed
with the guy racing around
on a dirt bike while holding
a young kid on his lap; he

4-H and FFA Members
have a connection of some
sort to here.

few remaining first edition
