19, at the Bellamy House
in Lexington. The focus
of the meeting will be on
MCRP budget planning and

For Public/Legal Notices: public/legal notices deadline is Monday at 5 p.m. Dates for publi-
cation must be specified. Affidavits must be requested at the time of submission. Affidavits
require three weeks to process after last date of publication (a sooner return date must be
specified if required).
For Obituaries: Obituaries are published in the Heppner GT at no charge and are edited to
meet news guidelines. Families wishing to include information not included in the guidelines
or who wish to have the obituary written in a certain way must purchase advertising space
for the obituary.
For Letters to the Editor: Letters to the Editor MUST be signed by the author. The Heppner
GT will not publish unsigned letters. All letters MUST include the author’s address and phone
number for use by the GT office. The GT reserves the right to edit letters. The GT is not
responsible for accuracy of statements made in letters. Any letters expressing thanks will be

Karl Kim
Harrison
Karl Kim Harrison,
Karl Kim Harrison, 68,
passed away Jan. 20, 2025.
Karl was born to Da-
vid and Norma Harrison
on March 6, 1956. Karl
spent his early grade school
through freshman years at
Davenport, WA. There, he
participated in wrestling,
football, baseball and cross
country. In wrestling, he
held a record for many
years of having the fastest
pin.
In Davenport, he was
a member of the Presby-
terian church and attended
Sunday school regularly.
He had a paper route and
delivered the Spokesman
Review on his bicycle. He
saved up enough to buy a
go-cart and was the envy
of many.
Karl spent his junior
and senior years at Heppner
High School. He excelled
in football, baseball and
track. He was a member
of the 4x100 relay team of
1974 that brought home
a state championship and
set a school record of 44.9
seconds. The record was
measured in yards rather
than meters, and it remains
unbroken after 50 years.
Karl received a schol-
arship in football to Eastern
Oregon University, where
he played split end.
In adulthood, Karl
managed several different
furniture and jewelry stores.
He was also the regional
manager at the U-Haul
company in Portland, OR
