Dear Editor
As the Conservative
talk show hosts are saying,
“This is probably the most
important election of our
lifetime!” This is true not
only for the United States
of America but also for the
State of Oregon.
From a national stand-
point, Ronald Reagan in his
debate with Jimmy Carter
in 1980, asked the voters
“When you go to the vot-
ing booth on Tuesday, ask
yourself, are you better off
than you were four years
ago? Is it easier to buy
things in a store than four
years ago? Is there more
or less unemployment in
the country than four years
ago? Is America respected
throughout the world as it
was? Do you feel that our
security is as safe? Are we
as strong as we were four
years ago?” He went on to
say if you answered “No” to
any of these questions, then
there is an alternative to
the status quo. My answer
to all of these questions is
NO! I want the alternative
and will vote for President
Trump and JD Vance.
The state of Oregon
is also at a tipping point.
Since the mail-in ballot
mandate, Oregon’s govern-
ment has been controlled by
the Democrat party. How
has that worked out for you
and for our State? This year
we have an opportunity to
change this one-party rule.
There are three state-wide
positions up for election.
I recommend voting for
Will Lathrop as Attorney
General, Dennis Linthicum
for Secretary of State, and
Brian Boquist for State
Treasurer. These three state
offices could mean a posi-
tive change for Oregon. All
voters should be voting, in
mass, for these three men
who have stepped up to turn
our state around and make
Oregon a prosperous, safe,
and beautiful place to live.

Kamala
About Kamala…. I
have questions. But before
I go any further, I feel like
I need to start on a positive
note and state the things
I like about her. I would
say that she has nice teeth,
but then it makes me think
of her laugh and that kind
of creeps me out. So, I’ll
think of something else.
In all fairness, she does
have experience in all three
branches of government.
Still waiting for evidence of
successful outcomes there.
Kind of like putting a steer
in with your heifers and ex-
pecting spring calves. Will
be a long wait.
I do need to mention
one quality I’ve recognized
in Kamala. She is extremely
good at word puzzles. She
has an incredibly unique
way of putting words to-
gether that leaves even the
most astute listener puz-
zled. It’s a gift.
The big question I have
is this; how did she get to
be the Democratic Presi-
dential nominee without a
single vote. Don’t “They
the People” have a choice?
Even Democrats should get
to choose their own candi-
date. Somebody show me
the rules where it says this
is ok. And who picked her?
Obama? Pelosi? Lizzo?
Ok so maybe it’s that thing
where you do what you
want and then come up with
explanations/ justifications
later. The “act now, think
later” strategy is pretty
popular now.
So, the Dems did what
they do best and followed
along, trying hard to bury
their previous opinions
while elevating her to
Queen Kamala. She didn’t
exactly start out as their
first pick. As VP, she was
a good placeholder, but
without much substance.
Then the anyone-but-Biden
motivation kicked in. After
all, you do what you have to
do in an emergency. I guess
it’s a good thing Biden
didn’t have the faculties to
fight the coup…. though
he seems to have mustered
enough strength of late to
remind folks of his close
working relationship with
his VP. Paybacks are heck.
Meanwhile, Kamala is
busy denying responsibility
for over three years of ad-
ministrative blunders (some
that even embarrass Liber-
als) …while insisting Biden
is capable, and “so smart
and loyal to the American
people”. Excuse me but so
is my dog. Not exactly pres-
idential material…plus he
drools. Way to dodge that
bullet, Kamala. Speaking of
dodging, we’re still waiting
for answers to 90% of the
questions she’s been asked.
But there is one thing she’s
made pretty clear, and that’s
how she feels about Chris-
tians, including Catholics.
Excusing herself from the
historic Al Smith dinner,
mocking a couple of young
men for declaring Jesus is
King, and treating the un-
born as so much trash….
well, she’s playing into the
wrong hands. And those
hands cannot save her. Pray
for Kamala, because things
will not end well for her if
she continues her current
path.
But just to end on a pos-
itive note….I have heard
she considers herself an
“incredible cook”. But if
you’re ever invited to her
place for dinner, I suggest
you avoid the salad. I’ve
heard it’s a bit wordy.
“Do not be deceived:
God cannot be mocked.
A man reaps what he
sows. Whoever sows to
please their flesh, from the
flesh will reap destruction;
whoever sows to please the
Spirit, from the Spirit will
reap eternal life.” Gala-

Oregon celebrates pharmacy
week amid closures
The State of Ore-
gon has declared October
21-27, 2024, as “Oregon
Pharmacy Employee Ap-
preciation Week” during
National Pharmacy Week
to recognize the con-
tributions of pharmacy
professionals, including
Pharmacists, Interns, and
Technicians. The Oregon
Board of Pharmacy is com-
mitted to maintaining high
standards in pharmacy
more reported in 2024,
raising concerns about
patients’ ability to access
their medications. As of
February, Oregon had 610
retail pharmacies, with
70% being chain-owned,
compared to a 61% nation-
al average. The state has a
low pharmacy density of
0.14 pharmacies per 1,000
residents, making access
difficult for many Orego-
nians.
