This matters
So, guess who lost the
debate. We did. We lost
any semblance of the truth
from Kamala’s lips, and
we lost our cool, calm,
collected Trump we had in
the last debate. To be fair, I
was not exactly composed
while listening and had
to refrain from throwing
things. Does it matter? Not
in my opinion. If you want
a strong country, the choice
is obvious. If you want
a Communist USA, the
choice is also obvious. If
you’re still undecided, you
haven’t been listening….or
buying gas and groceries.
Are you better off now than
3 ½ years ago? Still waiting
for Kamala’s answer….
Then there’s the fact
that we never really fixed
the election cheating prob-
lem. Cheaters gonna’ cheat?
Yep, especially when they
risk losing the opportunity
to leave a “botched abor-
tion” baby on the table to
die. Yes, it’s real. Just ask
the governor of Virginia or
Kamala’s running mate. It’s
interesting how abortion is
the only surgical procedure
that’s considered “botched”
if it doesn’t result in some-
one dying. We’ve come a
long way, baby. And yes,
late-term abortions are legal
in 9 states….so far.
I keep wondering why
the silence from so many
“normal” people. Question:
Do I have the right to run
my car over a cliff? Pretty
much. Do I have a right to
run my car over a cliff with
my ex-husband in it? Not
so much. Pregnancy is a
unique situation. It’s a life
within a life. We used to see
the miracle in that, and the
value of both lives. How
have we gotten so blind as
to let a stupid catchphrase
like “Reproductive Rights”
change our minds, and our
hearts? Lady…you have
a right to maim your own
body….take an arm or leg
off if you please. Here’s the
catch. Your baby’s body
is not your body….two
different bodies. You don’t
have the right to do that to
your child’s body, no matter
where they reside.
What if there was a
place in Portland where you
could take your 2-year-old
and have him put to sleep?
After all, parenting should
be your choice and not
forced on you by the gov-
ernment. And his should
be something “between a
woman and her doctor”.
Remember…”every child
a wanted child”.
I know this is not easy
to hear. There are women
who have been lied to for
a long time….we were told
we were carrying just a
“blob of tissue”. It worked,
until Ultrasounds showed
us the truth. I can’t imagine
the regret many women
live with. If that’s you and
you’re reading this, please
know that Jesus forgives
and heals if we ask. He has
promised us that.
But as long as we ig-
nore the assault on the
unborn, the pain and the
regrets will continue, and
so will the lies. God is
watching how we fight this
battle. I fear He will give us
the government we deserve
if we continue to sacrifice
innocent lives on the altar of
complacency. This matters.

Eighteen players par-
ticipated in men’s play on
Sunday September 15 th
at Willow Creek Country
Club. The final event of
the season was the par 68
cross country tournament.

Mustang boys defeat
Loggers 42-14
-Continued from PAGE ONE first downs to only 9 for
to give the Mustangs a 34-0
lead. On the next Knap-
pa possession, Wenberg
stepped in front of a pass
and intercepted the ball.
That gave the Mustangs
great field position, and
they only needed three
plays to score again. The
short drive featured runs
by Wenberg of 12 yards and
Brown for 4. The big play
of the drive was a 38-yard
pass completion from Orem
to Rodriguez that led to a
2-yard touchdown run by
Rodriguez. Caylan Proud-
foot came in to quarterback
the team and he handed the
ball off to Jackson Coiner
who powered his way in for
the 2-pt. conversion score
to make it 42-0 at halftime.
Joseph Albitre kicked
off for the Mustangs to start
the second half of play. The
rest of the game would be
played with a running clock
and the Mustang coaches
played many of the younger
team members in the sec-
ond half. Knappa scored
on their first possession of
the half to make the score
42-8. The teams traded pos-
sessions for the rest of the
game and Knappa scored
their final touchdown near
the end of the game to make
the final score 42-14.
The Mustangs had 21
Knappa. Heppner ran the
ball for 266 yards, passed
it for 63 for a total of 329
yards of offense in the
game. Knappa had 250
total yards in the game with
many of those coming in the
second half. Mason Orem
was 3-3 passing the ball
for 63 yards in the game.
Rodriguez caught 2 passes
for 45 yards and Stewart
had a catch for 18. Leading
the team in rushing was
Rodriguez with 67 on 9
carries. Wenberg ran for 48,
Hayden McMahon had 44
and Wenberg 42. Stewart
rushed for 37 yards, Albitre
had 16, Kaden King ran
for 9, Orem 7 and Jackson
Coiner finished with 5.
Leading the team in
tackles was Wenberg with
7. Jace Wilson was next
with 6, Landon McMahon
followed with 4 and with
3 each were Jaime Cavan,
Albitre and George. With
2 tackles each were Rodri-
guez, Darby Spivey, Mason
Haugen, Kaden King, Kea-
ton Coiner, Owen Guerra,
Lucas King, Andrew Lind-
say and Gage Heideman.
Recording one tackle each
were Stewart, Brown, Lane
Critchlow and Kooper Mill-
er. This week the Mustangs
travel to Irrigon to play the
Knights.

ident Tania Wildbill took to
the waters of the Columbia
River on September 9th,
completing a challenging
six-mile swim to highlight
the urgent need for preserv-
ing natural resources and
cleaning up the river.
The swim, which lasted
for 3 hours and 48 minutes,
saw Wildbill maintain an
impressive pace, averaging
38 minutes per mile. How-
ever, her quest to reach a
ten-mile goal was cut short
due to unforeseen circum-
stances. “They opened the
dam, and a swift current
pulled me,” Wildbill ex-
plained. “I quickly grabbed
the ladder on the boat to
climb out.”

Despite the setback,
Wildbill remains upbeat
about her achievement,
expressing her satisfaction
with covering six miles in
the river saying, “I just suc-
cessfully swam 6 miles of
the Columbia River to shed
light on the importance
of protecting our natural
resources and cleaning the
Columbia River and to pro-
tect all waters worldwide!”
