    A View from the Hill
By Doris Brosnan
The
Morrow
County Fair was viewed
again this year as a high-
light. Some residents,
accompanied by volun-
teers, attended the fair on
Wednesday morning, tak-
ing in all the sights, sounds,
and scents. Burgers and
fries were followed by fro-
zen yogurt before heading
back to the Terrace with
the morning’s memories.
Residents Randall
Peterson, grand marshal
from the St. Pat’s Irish pa-
rade, and Ginger O’Brien,
member of a past Morrow
County Fair and Rodeo
court, both participated in
the parade this year.
Also in August,
on the 24th, the commu-
nity welcomed back Jerry
Green. And they welcomed
Jeanette Willman and
Jazmyn Dubry in August
as part-time employees.
Residents
have
been enjoying the sunny
days on the front patio, an-
ticipating more to come.
They are also anticipating a
great meal as this last sum-
mer month begins because
someone has declared Sep-
tember 3 as National Baby
Back Ribs Day.
September 4 will
be National Wildlife Day,
but at least in some way ev-
ery day on the Hill is wild-
life day, as four-legged and
feathered creatures visit.
No one will ques-
tion National Coffee-Ice-
Cream Day on the fourth,
surely. And no one will
regret David Azevedo
turning 62 on the 10th and
sharing his special birth-
day menu with neighbors
and friends.
On
Grandpar-
ents’ Day, the 11th, morn-
ing discussion will be a
time for sharing stories as
grandparents and about
grandparents. That will
also be the day that some
of Rita DeZoete’s family
will be able to join her for
a birthday lunch, but she
will continue celebrating
her 90th through her actual
