POSITION
The governing body of
Morrow County is seeking
letters of interest to serve
on its budget committee
as a member, for a three-
year term effective July 1,
2022 to June 30, 2025. The
governing body, per ORS
294.414, shall establish
a budget committee that
consists of the members of
the governing body and a
number equal to the num-
ber of members of the gov-
erning body. The members
of the budget committee
shall receive no compen-
sation for their services as
members of such commit-
tee. Appointive members
of the budget committee
may not be officers, agents
or employees of Morrow
County. If you are inter-
ested in serving as a mem-
ber of the Morrow County
budget committee, please
submit a letter of interest
no later than July 21, 2022
to the Finance Department,

Sheriff’s Report
The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office has released the following information:
June 1: Boardman
Fire Department, Board-
man Ambulance
and
Boardman Police Depart-
ment received report of a
non-injury, two-vehicle ac-
cident. The patient refused
transport.
-Boardman Fire De-
partment, Boardman Am-
bulance received report of
a 48-year-old female dizzy
with a headache. She was
transported.
-Irrigon Ambulance,
Irrigon Fire Department
received report of an
81-year-old male who was
sick, was very weak, over-
ly tired and couldn’t stand
up. The patient was trans-
ported to Good Shepherd
Hospital in Hermiston.
-Heppner Ambulance
and Lexington Quick Re-
sponse Team responded to
a report of a 69-year-old
male, conscious off and
on, who had fallen out of
bed that morning and was
bleeding. He was trans-
ported to Pioneer Memori-
al Hospital in Heppner.
June 2: Irrigon Ambu-
lance received report of a
63-year-old diabetic male
in Irrigon who was unable
to get his sugar higher than
54. He had lost conscious-
ness for a moment. Irrigon
Ambulance responded, but
the patient refused trans-
port.
-MCSO received re-
quest for extra patrol on
Sky View Drive in Board-
man, where the residents
reported people coming
onto their front porch in
the early mornings.
-MCSO responded to
a report of a vehicle sitting
in a wide spot in a field
about a quarter of a mile
down from Paterson Ferry
from Green Acres.
-MCSO responded to
Irrigon Elementary School
where a student was found
in possession of four pock-
et knives at school.
-MCSO officer re-
sponded to Heppner High
School, but a report was
unfounded.
-MCSO received re-
quest from a subject in
Kennewick who said she
needed a welfare check be-
cause her brother was go-
ing through PTSD and she
thought he needed a mental
evaluation. The caller was
referred to Benton County.
-MCSO received re-
port of suspicious activity
on Frontage Lane in Herm-
iston with a white Lincoln
SUV with two females
inside looking impaired
outside her residence. One
was walking on the free-
way with shorts and a tank
top. MCSO was unable to
locate the females.
-MCSO Officer initiat-
ed contact at Community
Counseling in Heppner,
Heppner High School and
Main St. in Lexington.
-MCSO Officer ini-
tiated activity on I-84,
Boardman, Willow Creek
Reservoir, Heppner, High
Banks, Paterson Ferry
Rd. and Riverview Lane
in Irrigon, Love’s Travel
Stop and Country Store
on Tower Rd. in Board-
man, Agri-Northwest on
Paterson Ferry Rd. in Irri-
gon, Frontage Lane/Coun-
ty Line Rd. in Hermiston,
Threemile Campground,
Boardman, Irrigon Marina,
Hwy. 730, and California
Ave./Division and Nevada
Ave./Fourth St. in Irrigon.
June 3: Irrigon Am-
bulance received a request
for emergency services
for an 81-year-old male
who reported that he took
medicine and then two
hours later couldn’t stand
up and still couldn’t get
up. He reported coughing
a lot. Irrigon Ambulance
and Irrigon Fire respond-
ed and transported him to
Good Shepherd Hospital
in Hermiston.
-Irrigon Ambulance
received report of an adult
male who was having dif-
ficulty breathing and was
not responding on Hwy.
730 in Irrigon.
-Irrigon Ambulance
received report from Ir-
rigon Medical Clinic of
a 17-year-old male with
shortness of breath, pain
on the left side of the chest
and high blood pressure.
Irrigon Ambulance re-
sponded and transported
the subject.
--Irrigon Ambulance
received report of a motor
vehicle accident and fire.
Irrigon ambulance and Irri-
gon Rural Fire responded,
but were unable to locate
the incident.
-Morrow County Sher-
iff’s Office received report
from a subject on Matlock
St. in Heppner who report-
ed she received a suspi-
cious package in the mail
that was not addressed to
her. MCSO responded and
left the package at the cor-
rect address.
-MCSO deputy com-
pleted area checks at
Messner Cove, Tidewater
Bay, the Boardman Mari-
na, Love’s Travel Stop and
Country Store, Sky View
Drive in Boardman, Eighth
Rd. and Riverview Lane in
Irrigon.
-MCSO received re-
port of a criminal mischief
complaint at Irrigon High
School on S.E. Wyoming
in Irrigon where buildings
and cars were tagged at the
high school sometime be-
tween the evening of May
31 or June 1. The incident
is under investigation.
-MCSO received re-
port of a red Durango that
went through the stop sign
on S.E. Utah in Irrigon
and headed up Division.
MCSO responded, but was
unable to locate the vehi-
cle.
-MCSO received re-
port of a white Volkswa-
gen Jetta that passed the
caller in a no-passing zone
with oncoming traffic on
Hwy.730 in Irrigon head-
ing toward Umatilla. The
call was referred to another
agency.
-MCSO deputy report-
ed that a vehicle struck a
deer, which was still alive.
The incident was complet-
ed.
-MCSO received re-
port of a blue Chevy Trail
Blazer with lots of body
damage traveling 35-40
mph on Utah Ave. in Irri-
gon towards 10th. MCSO
was unable to locate the
vehicle.
-MCSO received re-
port of a missing dog, a
brown miniature Pinscher
with a white face. The dog
was missing since that
morning.
-MCSO received re-
port from a subject that he
had received an SOS text
from a friend who had been
working in the hills outside
of Arlington. While on line
with dispatch, the sub-
ject said that he received
a message from the friend
that he was trying to reset
his phone and accidentally
called 911.
-MCSO received re-
port of a white SUV on
Main and Willow streets in
Heppner with its car alarm
going off intermittently for
the last hour. A deputy re-
sponded and made contact
with other individuals, but
was unable to locate the
vehicle.
-MCSO received re-
port of a silver sedan with
partial Washington plates
going 100 mph on I-84
Boardman. MCSO was un-
able to locate the vehicle.
-MCSO received re-
port of a silver or gray Nis-
san Altima flying through
Utah Avenue in Irrigon to-
wards 10th.
-MCSO received a re-
port of two malnourished
kittens that appear to have
been left on East Fairview
Way in Heppner. The call-
er asked if they could be
picked up by the deputy,
but the deputy advised her
of her options.
-MCSO
arrested
Kristy Ann Barnhill at
Umatilla County Jail for a
parole and probation de-
tainer warrant with no bail.
-MCSO reports officer
initiated activity at Com-
munity Counseling Solu-
tions on Kinkade Rd. in
Boardman.
-MCSO received a
hangup/abandoned/acci-
dental call from a Board-
man residence. The subject
advised that it was the sec-
ond time it happened that
day and she could not find
her phone. She confirmed
that there was no emergen-
cy.
-MCSO received re-
port of graffiti on the call-
er’s fence on Depot Lane
in Irrigon. She caller asked
for deputy contact.
-MCSO received re-
port of unauthorized use of
a motor vehicle. The sub-
ject said that a male who
was interested in his Hon-
da Accord paid the seller a
$50 down payment, took
the car for a test spin the
day before and was sup-
posed to return that day to
pay the rest of the money,
but never returned.
-MCSO received re-
port of two calves, one
black and one black with
a white face on Hwy. 74,
Heppner. MCSO was un-
able to locate the calves.
-MCSO received re-
port from a subject in Hep-
pner that her parents put
their hands on her. She said
her dad left, and her moth-
er was trying to get into
her bedroom. A deputy re-
sponded and reported that
she would be staying with
her grandparents.
-MCSO received re-
port of a fence on Depot
Lane in Irrigon graffitied.
The caller requested a dep-
uty to make contact.
-MCSO received re-
port of a green semi-truck
with the numbers “333”
failing to maintain lane
and traveling around 90
miles per hour. MCSO was
unable to locate the truck.
-MCSO Deputy re-
ported that a juvenile had
crashed his bike on First
St. and Main in Irrigon.
-MCSO received re-
port of a brown hound dog
on the roof at Northwest
Water St. and Northwest
Jones St. in Heppner.
-MCSO received re-
quest for extra patrol on
West Main Street in Lex-
ington concerning suspi-
cious individuals cutting
locks at that location.
-MCSO received re-
quest for extra patrol on
Second St. in Irrigon while
the owner is away.
-MCSO received re-
port of a black Chevy
four-door pickup speeding
down from 10th St. to Utah
Avenue in Irrigon. The
caller said the vehicle ran
a couple stop signs. MCSO
responded but did not lo-
cate the vehicle.
-MCSO received re-
port of approximately six
to 10 cows out on Wash-
ington Lane and West Sev-
enth Rd. in Irrigon. MCSO
checked the area, but did
not locate any cows.
-MCSO received re-
port from Pioneer Memo-
rial Hospital in Heppner
that they currently had a
seven-year-old girl who
had been bitten by a dog.
They reported it was “just
lacerations” at the time.
-MCSO received re-
port of an older woman
with blonde hair, blue
jeans and a black hood-
ie going through people’s
mailboxes on Wilson Lane
and Tom’s Camp Rd. in
Boardman.
-MCSO received re-
port of a physical domestic
disturbance at Green Acres
on Paterson Ferry Rd. in
Irrigon. It was reported
that a male tried to pull a
female out of a trailer by
her hair.
