Baccalaureate held for Ione graduating seniors On Wednesday, June 1, Ione Community School, along with Ione Commu- nity Church, Valby Church and St. William’s Catholic Parish, hosted the 2022 Baccalaureate for gradu- ating seniors at the Ione Community Church. The program was led by Ione Community Church pastor, Jeff Cla- baugh and assisted by St. William’s Parish Father Joseph Thankachan. Music selections were provided by Yvonne Morter and Erin Heideman and the recep- tion following the service was organized by Cydney McElligott and Erin Heide- man with refreshments pro- vided by the members of Valby Church. “We are grateful for all of the support our commu- nity shows our students,” said Ione schools superin- tendent, Kevin Dinning. “Our students are some of the best and it is a direct testament of our incredible community.” Dinning was also a guest speaker during the baccalaureate service.
