Call to repentence
To the Editor:
This column will not
consider what is happen-
ing to America and the
world in response to the
Covid 19 pandemic, but
rather why. In the 1960’s
America and the western
world experienced a cul-
tural revolution. Moral, re-
ligious and legal traditions
practiced since before
America became a nation
were declared unconsti-
tutional. The Supreme
Court in just over one de-
cade, beginning in 1962
declared public prayer
(1962), public reading
of the Bible (1964), pub-
lished posting of the Ten
Commandments (1967),
and protecting the sanctity
of life in the womb (1973),
unconstitutional. This ac-
tivist Supreme Court re-
pudiated 170 years of Su-
preme Court decisions and
removed the God of Amer-
ica’s forefathers from our
schools, our government,
our institutions, our way of
life. These Supreme Court
justices were politicians.
Only one, Potter Stewart,
had federal Constitutional
experience. Every metric:
divorce rates, unmarried
couples, violent crime,
high school graduation
rates, sexual abuse of chil-
dren, illegal drug use, sex
trade of children and teen
agers, corruption in public
office, has negatively sky-
rocketed. America basi-
cally divorced itself from
the God of our forefathers,
the only God of the Bible
and prayer, with devastat-
ing results.
“Almighty God, we
acknowledge our depen-
dence upon Thee, and we
beg thy blessings upon us,
our parents, our teachers
and our Country” was the
exact prayer ruled uncon-
stitutional in 1962. Since
1962: Americans, our par-
ents, our teachers, and our
country are now ruled by
constitutional edicts out-
side of God's blessing and
the evidence of national
rejection of God has been
heartbreaking, especially
for our children. Our fore-
fathers warned their pos-
terity of the consequences
of rejecting God; compro-
mise, lack of diligence,
and the failure of courage
in the face of ever present
humanism and tyranny.
What has been the re-
sponse of Bible believing
churches in the face of
this assault on the Bible,
prayer, the sanctity of life
in America? How did the

church respond when the
Supreme Court ruled a
baby with a beating heart
could be killed in its moth-
er’s womb? In like man-
ner, how has the church
of Jesus Christ responded
in the face of unconstitu-
tional Covid edicts, church
closures, and social dis-
tancing/mask
mandates
that have made the church
a ward of the state. The
church has historically
been the moral compass,
the spiritual rudder that has
kept America on course
since the Mayflower com-
pact in 1620. Americans
and the world are search-
ing for answers, why has
the world been turned up-
side down? The church can
not keep responding with
the same old, same old.
These are the questions the
Bible believing church has
been unwilling to face and
only a remnant few have
demonstrated the courage
to stand and obey Jesus
Christ, the word of God in
the flesh, the answer to this
oppression.
This message is a call
to repentance to Ameri-
ca, especially for the true
church, the bride of Christ,
to honor its commitment to
God and his Word. Repent
means to admit we have
compromised as Chris-
tians, we have disobeyed
our Heavenly Father, we
have yielded to fear and be-
come cowards in the face
of tyranny and evil. Re-
pent means to turn around
and face the giants that are
destroying our country, our
way of life and our faith
in God. There is no other
answer, no other hope than
humbly returning to the
only true Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ; the sovereign
God of our forefathers, the
creator and sustained of
the universe.
There is a reason the
shadow of the cross of Je-
sus Christ covers Heppner,
Morrow County and East-
ern Oregon every day as
the sun shines. Our God
loves us and will help us
take out every Goliath if
we will exercise our faith
and return wholehearted-
ly to Him. Faith without
works is dead. We must
act without fear against ev-
ery stronghold that attacks
our liberty and undermines
our trust and faith in Jesus
Christ. “Submit to God,
resist the devil and he must
flee.” ( James 4:7)

Make creek a better
place
To the Editor:
When I crossed the
bridge over the creek to-
day, leaving school, I saw
lots of trash. We need to
find a solution to fix this
problem.
In conclusion, I think
the community could work
together to make the creek
a better place for wildlife
and picnics and other fun
things.

Passing the “buck”
To the Editor:
As we are in yet anoth-
er month of this pandemic,
many things are coming to
light.
We know and have
known the “vaccine” that
is supposed to save the
world is not working how
they tell us it is. We can
still get and give the Covid
virus. Were we supposed to
ever believe that this was
the saving grace? Were we
that blind that all we want-
ed to do was follow the
science? If you do not kill
the virus completely you
cannot rid the virus from
the planet. It is not pos-
sible to control a virus, it
will mutate. We must learn
to live with it. As we have
with the last million years
of viruses we have seen.
But in the process of living
with it, we must remember
to live and not fear it. We
must not fear the neighbor,
the friend, the family. Be-
cause even if you have had
your shot, you are just as
likely to spread that virus
to any and everyone you
encounter.
So, what is the solu-
tion? Wear a mask? No,
covering your face in a
paper mask, a gator, a pa-
per bag, will not prevent
anything. A virus is micro-
scopic, even an n95 is not
going to stop the spread
of germs. I go out in pub-
lic, and I see people with,
without, or maybe even
partly covered. Really? If
you cover your mouth but
not your nose, what is the
point? We must still cover
our children’s faces as they
attend school. For what?
They come home with
no mask, they are out in
public without one. What
makes their school that
dirty that they have to wear
it there. If I can walk into
99 percent of the business-
es without a mask, why
can’t a child be granted the
same respect? Now that
this government has been
shot down with lawsuits,
they have decided to pass
the buck to businesses to
do their dirty work. If it’s
illegal for the government
to force the people, why
does a business have that
right to demand an EAU
“vaccine”?
With all these ques-
tions, maybe we need to
look deeper into whose
hands are in whose pock-
ets. If you sit back and
watch who is still enforc-
ing this nonsense, you will
eventually see that these
are the ones that are re-
lying on their livelihood
from government money
(your tax payers’ money)
Maybe they need to stand
on their own with a back-
bone and say, “No”.
It has been said that the
hospitals will stop report-
ing COVID-19 deaths.
Vaccinated or not, why?
The government is trying to
tidy this whole mess us be-
fore the State of the Union
(address). Don’t want to
make anyone thinking that
they screwed up for two
years and now they are
getting it controlled? And
if they can “pass the buck”
to businesses then it is no
longer their fault if the vi-
rus didn’t die.
January 23 at 3 pm at

meeting for the Freedom
of Choice. We can and we
must Stay Loud and Stand
Proud next to each other.
