World turns blind eye
Dollar General foundation, “Serving Others”
To the editor,
The world turned a
blind eye to Adolf Hitler
excusing, ignoring and ap-
peasing his Nazi reign of
terror until it was almost
too late. A more malignant
and ominous reign of terror
is once against threatening
the peace and freedom of
the entire world and once
again the world has turned a
blind eye. Chinese Commu-
nist President Xi rules as an
absolute dictator enslaving
over a billion Chinese cit-
izens and murdering mil-
lions of Uighur Muslims,
enslaving their men and all
who protest in concentra-
tion camps and harvesting
their organs while the world
leaders offer appeasement,
excuses and encourage-
ment.
You will not read or see
the evidence of this satanic
attack on humanity in the
national or world news,
nevertheless this malignant
cancer will soon change the
world as we know it and
America (your family and
mine) is the target. China
sabotaged the presidential
election making sure their
man Joe Biden prevailed.
Dominion chief executive
John Poulos admitted be-
fore Congress his voting
machines were built with
Chinese hardware from
the screen on the interface
down to the chip component
level. (Philadelphia Trum-
pet, Feb. 21) Congress, the
CIA, FBI and the national
news have documented
evidence (Senate Commit-
tee on Homeland Security,
Hunter Biden, Burisma, and
Corruption, Sept. 23, 20)
that not only Hunter, Jim,
but the “big guy” Joe Biden
were heavily invested and
had received billions of dol-
lars from Communist Chi-
nese controlled companies.
They have barricaded the
White House, hidden Joe
Biden, orchestrated a fake
white supremacy threat; to
conceal the real danger fac-
ing America and the world.
Peter Schweizer’s Gov.
Accountability Institute
documentary “Riding the
Dragon: The Biden’s Chi-
nese Secrets” documents
China’s boast “at the top of
America’s core inner circle
of power and influence, we
have our old friends.” (Di
Dongsheng, Professor of
Economics, Beijing, Nov.
28, 20) Is it possible that
traitors at the highest level
of government, internet, big
tech and media have been
bought out by China?
Democratic Represen-
tative Eric Swalwell is a
Represents positive economic growth within community
member of the House in-
telligence committee with
access to the most essential
government intelligence.
He also has an intimate
relationship with Christine
Fang, an undercover spy
for Chinese State Security.
In addition, the chair of the
Senate intelligence commit-
tee Senator Feinstein, had a
Chinese spy, Russell Lowe,
as her office director, for
two decades. With the aid
of these America traitors,
the Communist Chinese
party has infiltrated every
level of American govern-
ment, media and big tech
and now China controls,
through bribes, blackmail
and sophistry, our govern-
ment, national ‘fake news’
media and the internet.
There are 340,000 Chinese
students in American uni-
versities today, all paid for
and controlled by dictator
Xi. Xi and his henchmen
are working a master plan
to destroy the American
Republic using sports icons
like Labron James that prof-
it mightily as a spokesman
for their sophistry.
While China, the trai-
torous liberal left, and in-
ternet elites use climate
change and white suprem-
acy lies and deceit to de-
stroy our Republic, they
are diabolically weakening
us from within and omi-
nously choking us from
without. Over a half century
ago a Democrat President
Lyndon Johnson foolishly
agreed to “major chang-
es” regarding the Panama
Canal. The Panama Canal
made ‘America Great’ at a
cost of 5600 America lives.
The wonder of the world
under Theodore Roosevelt
opened up free trade to
the entire world, over 340
million tons of cargo and
over a million ships. This
strategic jewel was given
away by another Democrat
President Jimmy Carter in
the worst blunder in Amer-
ican history. Today this stra-
tegic jewel is controlled by
none other than President
Xi. Nighty percent of the
world’s goods are transport-
ed through the sea gates of
the world once controlled
by Great Britain and Amer-
ica and now predominantly
controlled by Communist
dictator Xi.
How and why has
America turned from bless-
ed to cursed? Is there hope?
What must America and
Americans do to restore our
Republic and the blessings
of one nation under God?
To be continued.

To the editor,
The following letter
was sent to the city of Hep-
pner and is being published
as a letter to the editor in its
entirety.
The Honorable Jim
Kindle, Mayor
Cc: City of Heppner
City Councilors, Dale
Bates, John Bowles, Adam
Doherty, David Gunder-
son, Teresa Hughes, Corey
Sweeney and City Manager,
Kraig Cutsforth
Dear Mayor Kindle,
I hope this letter finds
you well. As an elected
leader of the Heppner com-
munity, I understand, re-
spect and appreciate that
you are committed to serv-
ing your community. At
Dollar General, we share
in your desire to serve the
Heppner community as the
foundation of service is
rooted in our business op-
erations and culture through
our mission of Serving
Others.
As we complete a due
diligence phase for a pro-
posed store at 388 North
Main Street in Heppner in
partnership with our devel-
oper partners at Zaremba
Group LLC, I am grateful
for the opportunity to pro-
vide you with additional
information on our compa-
ny and the benefits we seek
to bring local residents and
your community.
At Dollar General,
we strive to be a positive
business partner and good
community neighbor. We
believe the addition of a
new store in Heppner would
represent positive economic
growth within the com-
munity by providing new
jobs, additional tax reve-
nue for the city and help
keep retail sales local as
many residents now travel
to Hermiston to purchase
everyday essentials, which
our store would aim to pro-
vide. This is shown in many
communities, including one
of our most recent additions
in Fargo, Georgia where
Mayor Roy Abbott states:
“The opening of the
new Dollar General store in
Fargo has been a godsend,
especially with the onset
of COVID. With this store
here, the people in our com-
munity can better limit their
interactions with people in
high-spread areas. Even
without COVID, though, it
is a big boost to our local
economy. That will help
boost sales tax revenues,
which is a big part of our
budget. As an addition, I
can say that I have had a
few residents say that they
no longer even go out of
Fargo to shop, since they
can get pretty much every-
thing they need right here.”
We are a small-box
general merchandise store
that provides significant
value on the essential items
that American households
use and replenish most of-
ten and play an important
role for customers who are
looking for a convenient
option. The critical role
our stores play for families
became more evident than
ever during the recent (and
ongoing) pandemic. During
this time of national crisis,
our customers have relied
on Dollar General to remain
open and to provide them
with the items they need
The Dollar General
Stores are selecting Hep-
pner as one of their next
retail interests. A company
that has been in business
since 1939. This is an op-
portunity for people in the
town of Heppner to have
employment and choices
in products. Why wouldn’t
you want that?
I certainly remember
the first week after we had
obtained our business in
Heppner that another re-
tailer came over to our
store, introduced himself
and told us that we couldn’t
sell certain things in our
store because he had them
in his store. The right to
sell products and employ
people in a business is the
“American Way.” Small
mindedness and selfishness
for one’s own gain will keep
a town small with its resi-
dents driving out of town or
ordering from the Amazon
giant to find products they
need.
Dollar General is an
American chain store. They
seek to provide customers
a better life and employees
an opportunity to better
themselves. Competition
is healthy and provides
customers with choices
and lower prices. It keeps
retailers in check, so they
don’t gouge customers.
Dollar General will employ
people in the town of Hep-
pner. Now why wouldn’t
you want that?

To the editor,
I just would like to
voice my thoughts on the
subject of a Dollar General
coming to Heppner. I do
respect those who oppose
this business coming to
Heppner.
However, this store
does have lots of little
household items you can-
not buy in Heppner. There
are never coffee drinks,
sandwiches, fruits, vege-
tables, fresh meats in any I
have been in. So, I cannot
understand why anyone
would want them to sell
these items unless it is a
loophole to keep them out.
Now, if someone in
Heppner really wants to
buy cheaper items, they
will go to the Dollar Store
or Walmart in Hermiston.
Dollar General stores do not
have all items at a dollar.
I was really glad when I
lived in Glide and they built
one there. It was nice to be
