One new
case of
COVID-19
reported
According to the June
1 press release from Mor-
row County Emergency
Management, one more in-
dividual has tested positive
for COVID-19 in Morrow
County, bringing the total
to 13. The individual was
working out of state and had
already returned to Morrow
County when they were no-
tified that they had been in
contact with a positive case
in that other state.
This positive case is
in Boardman, bringing the
Boardman total to 11 and
still one each in Heppner
and Irrigon. All 12 of the
previous positive cases
have recovered.
Morrow County began
phase one of the reopening
on May 15. Morrow County
Public Health says, “We
know it is tempting to re-
lax, but this is not the time
to let our guard down. We
need to keep at it, and with
teamwork and diligence,
we will hopefully be able
to proceed to phase two in
the near future.”
