MUSTANGS VS. BANDON
-Continued from PAGE ONE
Bandon fumble deep in
their own territory. Wolt-
ers then scored just three
plays later when he blasted
through the line from three
yards out. Wilkins kicked
the extra point to make the
score 49-0 with nine min-
utes left in the third quarter.
At this point, the rest of
the game would be played
with the 45-point rule. That
means the clock will con-
tinue to run almost all of
the time once a team gets
up by 45 points or more.
The teams traded posses-
sions several more times
for the rest of the game. The
Mustang coaches started to
put in many of the reserves
and younger players at this
point so that they could
get some valuable playoff
game experience. The Mus-
tangs forced another Ban-
don fumble that Wilkins
recovered to give Heppner
one last possession. After
a couple of running plays,
quarterback Casey Fletcher
took a knee to end the game
with the score 49-0.
Heppner had 18 first
downs in the game to only
eight for Bandon. The
Mustangs rushed for 255
yards and held the Tigers
to 104. Heppner passed for
56 yards and Bandon 49.
The total yards in the game
for the Mustangs was 311
compared to 153 yards for
Bandon.
Wilson was 2-5 pass-
ing the ball for 64 yards
and two touchdowns in the
game. Cimmiyotti caught
one pass for 41 yards and
a score while Jackson Leh-
man also had one catch for
23 yards and a touchdown.
Leading the way in
rushing was Wilson with
74 yards and a touchdown
on three carries. Mason
Lehman rushed for 60 yards
on four carries and scored a
touchdown and Hisler had
four carries for 52 yards.
Wolters was the workhorse
running back on the day as
he packed the ball 13 times
for 50 yards and scored
three touchdowns. Jace Coe
rushed for 16 yards and
Derrick Smith finished with
three. Wilkins and Saul Lo-
pez also carried the ball for
the Mustangs.
The defensive effort
was led by Hisler with
eight tackles. Wolters was
next with seven and with
six tackles each were Jason
Rea and Orem. Gavin Han-
na-Robinson and Collins
finished with five tackles
each and with four tack-
les were Mason Lehman,
Jackson Lehman, Wilson,
Coe and Hayden Hyatt.
Wilkins, Cimmiyotti and
Kellen Grant each had three
tackles in the game and
with two tackles each were
Evan Kollman, Kevin Rea
and Conor Brosnan. With
one tackle each were Casey
Fletcher, Kegan Steagall
and Cody Fletcher.

ton is scheduled for noon at
