This month’s free mov-
ie will be shown at the
All Saints Parish Hall this
Friday, November 15, be-
ginning at 7 p.m. The fea-
tured film, rated PG, is a
2019 remake of a popular
animated movie that tells
the story of a future king
and the challenges he faced
as he grew into his rightful
place in the circle of life.
Pizza and beverages
will be available and ev-
eryone is welcome. More

craft bazaar Saturday, No-
vember 16 from 9 a.m. to
3 p.m. at the Ione Legion
Hall, 325 W Second St.

named Toastmaster
of the Year
Darlene Marquardt was
recently named Toastmas-
ter of the Year. The press
release stated, “When we
failed to meet deadlines,
she said, ‘I’ll still do it.’
When one more survey,
form or registration needed
to be created, she stepped
up.”
A spokesperson said,
“I am not able to begin to
give even a fraction of the
help, assistance, guidance
this person has brought to
our district this past year.
She continues to do so into
our new year. Please join
me in congratulating our
Toastmaster of the Year

Darlene Marquardt.”
Darlene is a retired
Morrow County School
District teacher and long-
time Morrow County Hunt-
er Education instructor. She
lives in Athena, OR with
her husband, Jim, and her
two kitty cats. She has two
grown children and two
grandchildren.

fixed route that is in the
planning phase. It will show
the possible route that will
be taken and the drop off
and pick up points.

The next lunch meeting
of the Heppner Chamber
of Commerce will be held
Thursday, December 5 from
noon to 1 p.m. in the Hep-
pner City Hall conference
room. The meeting will
include a short crop up-
date presentation by Larry
Lutcher, OSU Extension.

$10 per person and RSVPs
